Because we are commanded by our Lord to go into the hedges and the highways to compel those who are unsaved to come into the ark of safety, First Baptist Church has conducted a Broadcast Ministry since 1997.

The purpose of the FBC Sunday morning Broadcast Ministry is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the members of the radio community, and also to reinforce the faith of those who already know God.

The first broadcast of our church aired on WWGB in Washington D.C. in September of 1997. In 1999, God opened doors that allowed our broadcast to also be heard on WGAI-560AM, in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. In the year 2000, our Sunday morning broadcast was aired on WREJ-1540AM, in Richmond, and WTOY-1480AM, in Roanoke. Today, the Sunday morning Broadcast is heard on WGAI, WREJ, and WTOY.
