First Baptist Church is a historic and strong 117 year old church located in the Woodford Community of Caroline County, Virginia. Having begun in 1893 with just a handful of faithful believers, the First Baptist Church was founded on rich Biblical principles and has grown significantly through the years. FBC strives to meet all the spiritual needs of its flock through a variety of ministries, all of which are anchored in the word of God. These ministries are also offered to non-members living in the surrounding communites. WE adhere to the Articles of Faith of the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc. Accordingly, as we carry out our mission to lead souls to Christ, we embrace the following vision:
The members of our church are Holy Ghost filled.
The members of our church overcome Satan with their testimony.

The members of our church live right when they are not at church.
Our members pray for one another.
The members of our church understand the importance of sowing God's Word.
